SELF IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES

Self-improvement is a lifelong process. The concept of self-improvement consists of several activities that help you in becoming more productive and achieve better quality of life. This article focuses on some of the activities that you can inculcate in your life. The first activity is ‘focusing on one task at a time’. It is believed that in order to get most out of life, one should concentrate on only one activity at a time. This will ensure that all your energies are directed at a single task which will prove useful in accomplishing the desired results.

The second activity is about using your energy on important things. What’s the point in wasting energy on frivolous activities that will not bring any fruitful results? Watching useless TV channels, surfing net for no important reasons, worrying all the time etc are some of the worthless activities. Indulging in such activities will rob you off your energy and enthusiasm. One should always prioritize important tasks first and then putting all his efforts and energies on fulfillment of those tasks.

The next self improvement activity should be focused on controlling one’s thoughts. Negative thoughts tend to affect our productivity and act as a hindrance in the process of self-improvement. It is important to emotionally disengage from the curse of negative thinking. Moving on to next activity, it must be the ability to get organized. If you are not organized, chaos will ruin your mental peace. In order to live a stress free life, we must live in an organized manner. You should be organized in not only in your mind but also in your home.
The last self improvement activity of this article is about the art of living in the present. There is no point mulling over your past and pondering over your future. All you have is your present and that’s why you should make the most of it. It is important to enjoy every present moment. This will help you tremendously in improving your inner as well as outer being.

How to Give Your Attitude a Boost

We all know how important attitude is. This one factor can determine the way our life is headed. They say, your attitude is everything. So how do you define attitude? The simplest definition of attitude is, how you see the things around you, how you deal with the situations you face, and what you think about life. If your attitude is negative, your life is negative and that is a pretty straightforward equation. It is important to give your attitude a boost but how? Let me offer some wonderful tips that you can always implement in your life to have a great attitude.

First thing first. Rise and Shine! Yes, that means it is always better to have an early start to the day. Get up early, walk for a while and enjoy the morning beauty. It will invigorate your senses. Never fret over the things. There will always be a tomorrow and tomorrow is always a new day. Many a times, things won’t go your way but that does not mean you lose hope or feel bad over the way events have folded. Always remember that as time passes, so do your troubles. No matter how down and out you feel, life will surely turn for the better and that’s an eternal truth.

Remember, you are master of your own destiny. If there is one person who can give you a good attitude then it is you and you alone. A good and positive attitude can be developed whenever you want it to. It is not a herculean task to wake up tomorrow with a brand new outlook on life. Just remember, you are the master and you are the executioner.

BANK OF BARODA

4 Small motivational stories, But had rich meaning

1. That’s Faith :

Once, all villagers are decided to pray for rain, on the day of the prayer all people gathered but only one boy came with umbrella.

2.   That’s Trust :

When you throw a baby in the air, she laughs because she knows you will catch her…..

3. That’s Hope :

Every night we go to bed, without any assurance of being alive the next morning but still we set the alarms to wake up.

4. That’s Confidence :

We plan big things for tomorrow in spite of zero knowledge of the future or having any certainty of uncertainties.

MEANINGLESS GOALS

A farmer had a dog who used to sit by the roadside waiting for vehicles to come around. As soon as one came he would run down the road, barking and trying to overtake it. One day a neighbor asked the farmer "Do you think your dog is ever going to catch a car?" The farmer replied, "That is not what bothers me. What bothers me is what he would do if he ever caught one." Many people in life behave like that dog who is pursuing meaningless goals.

Life is hard by the yard, but by the inch, it's a cinch.

You Can Change Others Life

A bus carrying only ugly people is involved in a crash, and everyone in the bus dies.

They go to Heaven. Because of the grief they have suffered, God decides to grant them one wishes each, before they enter Paradise.

They're all lined up, and God asks the first one what their wish is. The person answers, I want to be beautiful, and so God snaps His fingers, and it is done. The second one in line sees this and says I want to be beautiful too. Another snap of His fingers and the wish is granted.

This goes on for a while, ! but when God is halfway down the line, the last person in line starts laughing. When there are only ten people left, this man is rolling on the floor, laughing..

Finally, God gets to the end of the line and asks the laughing one what his wish will be. The man eventually catches his breath, and says, "Make them all ugly again."

Moral - Don't get disheartened for being last, as you can still change others lives being last

A good story for a laugh But from this story you can also learn that you also need to be aware of what desires people around you have, you when fulfill your dreams.
